Description
A Impressive Victorian carved oak settle / monks bench / hall seat, having a wonderful shaped carved back with the green man carved to the centre, flanked either side by carved knights heads with helmet, the centre panel having carved scene of man with lion, either side having carved and pierced panel. Having lovely carved lion arm rests, the seat also having carved decoration this lifts to reveal storage space, under having three carved panels with a shaped carved edge under. Above the centre carved panel there are the words carved ( Richard the First AD 1190) Date Circa 1880
